Bagabandi Natsag

Mr. Bagabandi is a two-term former President of Mongolia and first Speaker of Parliament of democratic Mongolia appointed in 1992 leading then Mongolian People’s Revolutionary party (now Mongolian People’s party). From 2010 to 2013, he has served as the first board member of Oyu Tolgoi LLC and was reappointed in September 2016. He received Ph.D in philosophy in 1987 and received Honorary Doctor titles from such prestigious universities of Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Japan and the USA. A published scholar and leading politician of the country he has served from 1992-1996 as member of parliament and Speaker, from 1996-1997 as member of parliament and MPRP caucus leader, and from 1997-2005 twice elected President of Mongolia.       

                          

                                 Bayasgalan Enkhbaatar

Bayasgalan Enkhbaatar was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of Oyu Tolgoi LLC in November 2020. Before this appointment, Bayasgalan was Investment Banking Vice President at Nomura Securities International in New York City. Prior to her role at Nomura, Bayasgalan worked at J.P. Morgan Securities, South Gobi Sands and South Gobi Resources. During her time with J.P. Morgan, Bayasgalan was involved in the execution of various M&A, debt and equity transactions for a wide variety of clients. Bayasgalan holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration Cum Laude from the American University in Bulgaria.

                                     

         Gan-Ochir Zunduisuren

Gan-Ochir Zunduisuren was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of Oyu Tolgoi LLC in November 2020. Gan-Ochir has over 20 years of experience in mineral resources sector. He started his mining career in an underground zinc mine in Canadian Arctic as technical assistant and surveyor. Upon returning to Mongolia in 2002, he has worked in gold mining operation, porphyry copper, tungsten, graphite and gold explorations, coking coal resource development and mining investment advisory firm in technical and senior management roles in Mongolia. Gan-Ochir has a degree in Mining Engineering from the Mongolian University of Science and Technology and a MSc in Global Finance from NYU Stern School of Business and HKUST.
